Construction Site Inspections and Technical Consultancy

Technical Guidance During Building Construction

TTS Engineering & Consultancy Services provides construction-stage structural inspections and technical advice for projects where such support forms part of the agreed consultancy services. These inspections help identify structural construction issues and assist the project team in following approved design drawings and specifications.

OUR SERVICES

Practical solutions for real building needs.

Even a well-prepared structural design requires proper setting-out, reinforcement fixing, concreting and construction workmanship. Early identification of departures from the approved structural details can reduce the need for costly remedial work.

The frequency and extent of site inspections are agreed with the client and depend on the stage, size and complexity of the work. Periodic inspections do not replace the contractor’s responsibility for quality control or continuous site supervision.

OUR TECHNICAL APPROACH

Our technical approach.

Our Construction-Stage Consultancy Approach. The following design and assessment services are tailored to the particular project requirements and available site information.

01

Foundation and Excavation Inspections

Where requested, we inspect excavated founding levels and exposed soil conditions in relation to the available investigation information and structural drawings. Unexpected ground conditions are reviewed, and further investigation or design changes may be recommended where necessary.

02

Reinforcement and Concrete Works

We review accessible reinforcement arrangements for footings, columns, beams, slabs and other reinforced concrete members before concreting, as appropriate to the inspection stage. Particular attention may be given to bar sizes, spacing, anchorage, laps, concrete cover and structural details.

03

Steelwork and Structural Connections

For steel-framed projects, we may inspect the general arrangement of members, installed connections, anchorage and bracing against the approved drawings. Identified deviations are referred to the appropriate project parties for review and correction.

04

Coordination and Technical Clarifications

We work with architects, contractors and building-services engineers to clarify structural drawings, review proposed site changes and resolve construction-stage conflicts. Material changes to the approved structural arrangement are assessed before implementation.

05

Site Instructions and Inspection Records

Where included in the agreed service, inspection observations and recommendations can be recorded in site inspection sheets or technical correspondence. Clear records help communicate required corrective works and follow-up actions to the responsible parties.

06

Construction Completion and Follow-Up

Further visits may be arranged to review previously identified structural issues or key construction stages. Where requested, we can prepare technical observations on the completed structural work based on the inspections and evidence available; such observations are not a substitute for full-time supervision or comprehensive testing.

OUR COMMITMENT

Safe Structures,
Smart Solutions.

Our objective is to support proper implementation of the structural design through practical engineering advice, timely communication and clear inspection records, while maintaining appropriate responsibilities for designers, contractors and site supervisors.
